I have a zit in my ass crack that won't go away and keeps refilling with pus.

I think it's probably classified as a boil.

It hurts like hell.

This is a gross post, but seeing as though I'm amongst a bunch of other computer/desk jockeys here I JUST KNOW that there's others out there that have dealt with this issue.

How the hell do you make these things go away. It's probably been there for a few months. It'll go down and then I think it's gone then before I know it it starts hurting, refills with yuck, then explodes when I sit for a long period of time.

OK, first i dont have personal experience with this situation, but my nursing common sense says WOW, if it has been there for a few mos and keeps on with pus, u need to have it checked out. If there is something going on that your body cant heal after a few days/weeks, then u need to see your doc. the bodys natual response is usually enough to cure things, sometimes it needs help. especially considering its in a dark, damp (from its own pus) area (not to mention probably slightly dirty as it is near your ass), it is prime for bacterial growth and u may need an antibiotic. please call your doc and get an appt. didnt Christopher Reeves die from a bedsore that became septic? not saying it is so bad for you, but non healing things should be taken care of and followed up on and just FYI if this infection gets into your blood thats not good. hope i scared you into getting it looked at.

i had this...unbelievable pain when it flared up,could barely walk...mine was at top of crack and would get as big as a golf ball and bright red with a head...when i would go in to get it lanced there was so much pressure it would shoot pus out many,many feet.THE SMELL WAS HORRIBLE...i had mine lanced 3 different times before i finally gave up and agreed to surgery...they shot a needle into my spine to paralyze me from just above the waist down...when they took it out they showed it to me and it looked like a candy bar with roots and shit coming out of it...spent several weeks with a drainage tube

That's what it is. I've had it twice on my tailbone. Surgury or have a doctor pop it and it will go away for a little while.

I had one recently, more middle of cheek, I don't go to doctors unless bones are broken.

You'll need a wife, a very,very good friend, or a Doc to pop it ( maybe more than once).

Try soaking in a bathtub full of hot water and epsom salts to soften it up, then get your popper to pop it, you cant really do it yourself. Hydrogen peroxide, then neosporin on it, that you can handle yourself. A "hole" will be left for weeks, keep putting the topical triple antibiotic on it. Worked for me.

these guys are right .. this is exactly what you have. i have also had it . brutal pain when it fills up.

i actually had it semi explode when i was at the movies. had to sneak out early . good thing i was with a buddy and not a date.

even if you have it surgically worked on , it can still come back.

very common thing .
